From Tragedy to Triumph
In 1995, at the age of 34, Leshia Roby-Pannell was brutally murdered by her husband after 13 years of marriage. As a result, he was sentenced to 60 years in prison leaving their 6 children (ages 3-12) parentless. At the time, her sister Sheila Arnold was a single parent raising 2 children of her own. With great honor and love for her sister and her children, Sheila did not hesistate to open her arms and doors to her nieces and nephews. It wasn't easy but Sheila strongly believed in keeping the family together. As a mother of 8, she soon begin to recognize the various gifts and talents that blossomed in all of her children. Then, all of her income went towards keeping things afloat. So she vowed one day to help not only her children but other people with gifts and talents to develop and utilize them to fulfill their purpose in life.

Cornerstone stands on having a good conscience and having faith in the word of God; believing all things are possible.
